Banks high ram pros and cons?

Just bought one for a good deal. I also bought the intercooler tube to match.... if anyone has it, how do you like it... how much pita is it to install? the concept seems to work. i have a alum intake with the plastic factory tube i will be taking off.....

I had one, easy install you have to cut your fan shield a bit but all in all it's easy.. Didn't see much gains but it still looks good under the good and with the intercooler installed I think it would work very well

yea i got the intake off ebay for 80 DEAL... bought the tube from Banks for 120ish and i had the t clamps and silicon boots at work.. should be nice... the concept makes sense... should do a little right? Im not sure about the intercooler tube being plastic.... thought about the alum one from the 03 f250's but i think the banks will be fine

tHe banks intercooler tube is aluminum and is a lot bigger than stock.. It might so a little but you won't tell off the seat of your pants

o ok.. but more is better... at least it will look good..the stock is a poor design the accufab is pretty nice and the banks is huge.... we will see.. thanks man!

I think the banks would be the best out there. The design just looks more effecient, just wish it had threaded inserts like the other ones

yeah so do I. The first time i brought it to the dealer with it on they had to remove the elbow to get to the egr valve and they stripped two out of the four studs.

I like the intercooler alot. Its very well built. Ive noticed egt's get very low when in tow/haul. But the only thing that really stunk for me was that I bought the elbow first then about 6 months later I bought the whole intercooler which comes with a new elbow and that first elbow wasent cheap at all.
