Thoughts on Bully Dog

I'm thinking about getting a Bully Dog Triple Dog combo w/Outlook Monitor.

The reason I'm leaning this route is

1. I want something I can adjust on the fly.

2. There's a local shop that sells this one and will install it for me. I'm just not comfortable drilling and installing the EGT probe myself.

3. I want some sort of tuner with digital readout.

4. The outlook has a nice pillar mount.

I'm not looking to run 1/4 mile times or anything. I do want to get on it on occasion though.

I know a lot of you run the SCT but see #1.

I was just curious, of those of you that have run the BD, how you liked it. How was the trans shift with it, etc.

I am willing to consider others like the SCT w/Quadzilla (and skip #1) if it would be a better all around set up but then again see #2.

Thanks for your input.

Hey Stump,

Whatcha doin up this late?

After reading some of the recent posts and seeing some of the pics, I definitely, need to make to North LA and drink some cold adult beverages w/ya!

Do you think the Donaldson intake would be sufficient for the bully dog if I planned on putting a power elbow on and cat delete?

I know you run the SCT w/quadzilla and it sounds like the shiat, but I'm not sure if I would be able to hook it up, especially drilling the hole for the EGT probe.

You use the Quadzilla instead of dial gauges, right?

Thanks,

Yeah, after talking to Stump last night (actually it was this morning) I think I'm going to go the SCT/Quadzilla route.

I'm still scared to death about drilling and tapping the hole though.

i was too, but it was easier than drilling the down pipe. remember lots of grease, drill slow. tap slow use lots of greaes and use a magnet for the rest. i wound up just using a dual guage pillar with a boost and pyro. my buddy had them and sold his truck. he never got a chance to install them so i got them cheap

Thanks, everyone keeps telling me it's not that bad. So I'm starting to feel a little more confident in doing it.

Plus now I can get a better tuner, cheaper, online. Heck the $150 they were going to charge to install it can be put towards other mods.
