Which tunes would work for me?

I have an 04 Ext Cab F350 DRW. Its a daily driver and a work truck on certain days. I pull a skidsteer once or twice a week. The weight of the skid and trailer is around 14000. I have a banks six gun right now but am looking to get an SCT. Any suggestions on which SCT to get and where to get the best tunes for my set up. Like i said its also a daily driver that i wouldnt mind having a little extra get up either. Banks puts out nice power but i dont like the way it shifts at all.

Thanks

I love my aggressive street tune from Innovative diesel . The turbo brake really does help quite a bit IMO. I'd say to run a street tune when you're not loaded, but it sounds like you'd be changing tunes a LOT, and I'm not sure that's good for the computer. Better to ask that question to the tuner you choose

changing the tunes back and forth will not hurt anything other than being a pain. You will want to run a tow file with that much weight behind you. Call matt at gearhead and tell him what you want. Actually from my experience email works better.

Sct Xcal 2 is the older one, and theone that I have. The new one is the Xcal 3 I think, and than you have the Livewire. I can only give my opinion of the Xcal2, since that's what I have exp with. I like it, it does what it needs to do, downloads my tunes . The biggest difference, is going to be the tuners, but they will be pretty close, powerwise to eachother, but some things like shifting will be different.

I talked to Eric @ Innovative - and decided to spend the money on the TSX. It is wireless which I love...I hate it on my windshield, so I can keep it in the console. They have 5 custom tunes - you pick three and I think it is 849. They also have Livewire for less and the X3 even less money. I really like the touch screen and wireless capabilities for the TSX...here is the stuff from Innovative:

Our SCT X3, LiveWire, and TSX are programmed with 3 of our custom
programs of your choice. I will list the most common programs below. The
SCT programs both the engine and transmission computers, allowing a safe
and realiable way of adding power.

Xtreme Race- 420-440rwhp/760-780rwtq - Converter locked in all gears.
Xtreme Street- 420-430rwhp/730-760rwtq- Not recommended for towing.
Street- 400rwhp/670rwtq- Tow up to 10k lbs.
Tow- 310rwhp/560rwtq- Towing over 10k lbs up to the maximum of the
truck.
Economy- Mileage program only.

For the 6.0L and 7.3L trucks:
Price of the X3 with custom tuning is $429.
Price of the Livewire with custom tuning is $569.
Price of the TSX with custom tuning is $859.
With our Xtreme Power programming, the price is $80 additional.

I wonder what Xtremem Power Programming is????

That's pretty cool, but I don't like the fact that it has to be recharged. I wonder how often that will have to happen?

All you guys have been a big help. I hate to get rid of the six gun and the IQ because im gonna lose money but id much rather have a more specific SCT. I wish i wouldve known about this site and how good the SCT is before i made the mistake and bought the six gun. I love the IQ and everything about it but do not really like the "tunes" the six gun puts out. I dont wanna pay for it in the end with tranny problems.
