my dad has an 06 with the 6.0 and he is only getting around 11 mpg i told him he needs to egr delte intake studs and sctlive wire and 4in turbo back i have a 6.7 dodge so i not to familar with ford any advice would be helpful thanks.

4 inch straight pipe with no muffler no cat, egr delete, and an sct with some custom tunes should yeild some pretty good results...

seems like your on the right track.. but i would opt for a X3 vs the livewire and a set of regular gauges or an edge insight for the gauges....

has to be a custom tuned SCT though if your going to delete the egr...

we can set him up on a full package deal to save him some money.... oh and tell him to leave the intake.. the stock one will flow more than enough air... that will save him about 300 bucks that he can put towards other mods

Yup save the a/m air filter and do ficm tuning. That should help. Might check tire pressure, brakes etc. Is the milage coming from the computer display or hand calculated? How full does he fill the tank? A good base line for mpgs is nessisary to get a grasp on any gains.

the computer says 11 and he said he gets 300 to a tank...the egr delete deletes the egr and the egr cooler right...and raul could you pm me a package price for the sct x3 custom tunes i dont want the extreme race just econmy tow and street. iss pro 3 pillar gauges with boost trans and egt, 4in exhaust and studs thanks

if you were filling it to the neck that would be less than 11mpg at 300miles at empty. diesel is foamy and generally you can squeeze in 6-10 gallons after it clicks off. if he is ideling the truck alot that will consume alot of fuel. if in town mpgs i wouldnt expect more than 15mpg for city driving and realistically 12-13. on the road 15-17 is also realistic
