Service advisor tells me ARP is pointless...

I go in for a 60,000 mile service and since my warranty is up in 5 months asked about a quote for headstuds. ( I have a family member working there so I get hrly rate at $75 an hour. )

Adviser tells me that ARP headstuds are pointless and that he wouldn't do it. Then he goes on to tell me I should have bought a 7.3l and not to go online and read stuff on forums because they don't know what they are talking about...

**** being in NorCal...cant find a damn reasonable diesel performance shop to do some headstuds.

That means try another ford dealer in the area. Some of them are full or idiots and some are really cool and knowledgeable.

Tell him if you wanted his opinion you would beat it out of him. Then tell him you will spend your money how ever you damn well please and if he wants your business he had better come up with an estimate.

Then inform him that the service advisor is just a receptionist for the mechanics and you would like to talk to someone who actually knows something about trucks.

He sounds like the idiot service advisor at my local Ford stealership. About two weeks ago I go in there just for fun to see what he had to say about installing a coolant filter system on my 6.0. In his usual ****y voice said, "What do you need one of those for, you don't need one." What a dumb $h*t.
