DIY air intake

Hey guys,

first time posting on this forum, been reading more then anything over the last few months since i picked up my 06.

I have searched and went through pages and for a custom or DIY intake i have not found much other then either. 1) it cannot be done or 2) stock intake is good up to 500hp. So save yourself those responses.

I have seen the 7.3 and just looking for some pictures or ideas on how to do the 6.0.

I have bought a AFE pro dry filter and was going to buy some 4"pipe from a muffler shop. I haven't looked much, but wasn't really able to come up with a simple solution off the bat. The intake with the mass airflow sensor has got me sort of confused.

Can you guys please help me find a solution/idea and pictures always help.

Thanks,
Eric

After some more research and more careful reading.

I have decided to just do the zoodad mod . (zoodad write up)

I will either make my own fitting with a fine screen or buy the predator air fury. OC diesel has it for $50 so we will see there.

Then Im gion to send back the filter i bought and exhchange it for just a OE replacement. Can't decide between the AFE pro dry and pro 7 guard though.
