why do some upgrade to the 2003 Turbo?

Why is this done? is the 2003 different from the 04-07? do the 04-07 have problems?

If its a good mod to do, what should i expect to pay for a 2003 turbo. Theirs a few on ebay, some new some used. all asking upwards of 7-900. but all have "make offer" options.

Its all just for sound. The 03 have a 10 blade turbine side causing it to whistle loud like a jet.

I sold mine for $750.00
It was next to new though...very low miles.
I sold it to a fella that wanted a really, really, loud turbo....he had it on about a week, and is now looking to sell it because it is too loud.

That's funny right there. I have an 03 with a 4" straight piped exhaust, Airaid CAI and mine just screams. I get a lot of people come up to me and want to talk about it. I love it, but my truck IS damn loud, especially when I romp on it.

haha awesome! well i think down the road, i'll put one on my list. Is it difficult to pull the stock 06 and install the 03?

Your gonna need a 03 pedestal to install and 03 turbo. You can find a decent used one for like 300 to 400 bucks. I'll be having mine up for sale shortly if a buddy of mine doesnt want it.
