Craigslist SCT X3-who can unlock it?

So i bought an X3 that is VIN locked but has 5 unlocks left. Is SCT the only place to have it unlocked? can any vendors on here do it? Thanks.

yup it has to be sent to SCT.. and i think they charge like 150 bucks for it

well damn. try to save a few bucks and it ends up costing more..... Should have bought a new one instead.

yep..happens alot when people are trying to save they end up getting screwed, good luck.

last I heard they were getting 125-150 to unlock one. give them a call.

Are all of the SCT's vin locked after use in only one vehicle, and the vehicles are turned back to stock? I have an X3 from my mustang gt, and a livewire from my f350. Both were returned to stock programming before getting rid of them so I still have both units at home. Thanks

there only vin locked if you don't return the vehicle back to stock

Yeah the P.O. did not return to stock before selling his vehicle. Just left a message with SCT tech support to see what needs to be done. I should have done more research and just bought new. O well lesson learned
