Mild Build Questions/Suggestions

I am getting ready to tear into my truck for a "mild" build and I am looking for suggestions as to what else to do while I'm in there. I currently have a II 62/70 turbo and I am getting a set of 190cc sticks from Casserly. I also have a new set of heads to put on as one of mine is cracked. I was wondering if there would be any benifit to having a mild port and polish job done while I have them at the machine shop. I was also looking into a Fluidampner as it would be a cakewalk to replace while the cab is up. Any other suggestions would be appreciated, however I do have limited income to spend on this as the wife is limiting me

I already have all the supporting mods, just looking for some more things to do while the cab is in the air. Thank you for your help guys and gals

Elite diesel does porting. They are highly respected. They also understand the combination between turbos and inj, you could ask them about that too.

What do you all ready have on your truck, what other plans do you have

Well, I have posted this on a couple of other forums and the concensus in that I should save my money and not port the heads right now. However, I am looking into a remote oil cooler kit now.

As far as your question, I have all the supporting mods: Full fuel system, Full Billet Suncoast Race Transmission, EGR cooler delete, 4" straight pipe, Full set of Autometer gauges and 100psi Fuel pressure gauge, Custom tuned SCT and FICM, and I know I am missing a few other things that I have done. The truck isn't a DD anymore, so drivabilty isn't the biggest concern, but when I do drive it, it will be on long trips. I am taking a trip down to Texas hauling my 28' car hauler in June and hope it doesn't get to hot. I am planning on running a 70/30 water/meth mixture to keep my EGT's down while I am towing.

What is everybodies ideas on running a tow tune? 9 times out of 10 when I tow, I will turn my truck back to stock, however, I would love the extra fuel mileage a tune would give me on my trip to Texas.
