hpop

can someone give me the particulars on changing my high pressure oil pump and a recommendation on a performance pump

Replacing the HPOP is quite extensive. Its on the back of the engine in the valley. Have to remove the intake manifold oil and fuel filter housing turbo etc. most of the stuff on the top of the engine. Its nice if there's two of ya workin on it especially for pullin the turbo. it's kinda heavy and very awkward to get out but once you do and pull the pedestal, its just a cover and theres the HPOP. Adrenaline makes a good HPOP. Heres their link.

May as well hot-tank your intake manifold while its out of the way, replace your hpop sump screen to the updated SS one. Check your Turbo drain tube...maybe even go ahead and overhaul your oil cooler.

i just swapped out my hpop last fri. all i removed was the reservoir, intake spider, fuel filter housing, and belt.


edit just realized this is a 6oh thread
