Innovative Diesel tunes?

I just got my SCT today, I'm interested in getting Innovative diesel tunes, just exactly how do you get them? Do you buy them on the internet and they send them to you? Do you have to go somewhere to get them? What about River City Diesel?

I run innovative tunes and love them. Call them up, sometimes they are busy, but just keep trying. You pick the tunes you want then they fine tune them for your truck. They make the tune and send it via email. You plug the sct into the computer download the tune and away you go with plenty of power

You can go to their web site and add "SCT custom tuning" and/or "Xtreme power upgrade" to your shopping cart, then check out. You will receive an e-mail from them asking for your truck's stategy and any mods (or just put that info in the "my tuck" box when you check out). Reply to that and you will shortly receive an e-mail with your new files attached. Save those to your computer, load them on your SCT and then on your truck

Also, another question about straight-piping. Just daily driving, im looking for an increase in fuel economy, if I use one of those canned 50-60 hp tow tunes, with straight pipe, will that help gas mileage more opposed to leaving the cat on and what not???? I have been hearing mixed things about this

I deleted my cat and didnt see and increase in mpgs or a decrease. You will hear the turbo more. Also, I did feel like the turbo spooled up quicker. IMO straight piping will help with performance thus increase in power and mpg. Those canned tunes are nothing compared to custom tuning. Get the tunes straight pipe and you will see a increase in both power and mpg.

^^^^ What Chiller said.

Straight pipe does two things, IMO, sounds SWEET , and , more importantly, reduces EGT's.

That being said, it will not hurt your fuel mileage. It may not give you a noticable gain, but opening up the exhaust does nothing but help the engine run more efficently.

Reduced EGT is a big factor, with the 6.0

For a quicker response, make sure that you have your tuner's serial number and your truck's programming strategy before you call/email your tuning company of choice.
