What mods make the best trailer puller

I'm looking at building my truck for towing 6K-10K trailers at elevations from
4K-9K feet. I know "to start with dump the Edge and get an SCT custom tune from Matt or Eric". I sold my highly modified Dodge and I'm tired of getting past by Dodges pulling my Boat, ATV's and Sleds. If I turn my Edge to 100HP my EGT's are getting to hot. I assume a larger vg turbo is a good starting point after custom tunes of course. What does anyone suggest? What mods have worked well and which mods should I stay away from? I wanted a Tower not a Drag truck. That being said I plan to keep my automatic truck with the stock gears and with the 35" tires.

Well your right about the SCT tuner that would make a world of difference. Then if your really wanting a puller a built trans changes everything its like night and day pulling.

get some air bags to help with the load, I love mine. coolant additive for the heat.
