DO I NEED MORE POWER YET?

Just finished ordering PHP FICM remote reprogrammer and a couple (tame) tunes for my truck. She went out of warrany if February. I already have the exhaust and an intake elbow (what a waist). Don't really want to do studs or EGR just yet (maybe next year). Would a intake help? who makes the best? anything else you guys might think of? Going to do the zoodad mod soon. So I am open to any ideas. Truck is used mainly for towing so keep that in mind.

Your intake is good up to 500HP, no need for that. How mugh weight are you towing?

Then your gonna need the egr and studs...

Well, the EGR failure happens from low coolant levels, and because of the bad oil cooler design, so just keep your eye on that. And a headgasket could fail at any time.

I'd suggest a coolant bypass filter, not going to give you power, but it WILL give you piece of mind knowing that your oil cooler is mostly clear of casting sand and other chit. There ain't much more you can do to it without spending big $$$, water/meth is one option though

BTW, when do you get the tuner from PHP for the FICM programming?

why do you say the intake elbow was a waste? did you get the large mouth with the bigger tube from your IC to the intake? what brand?

It's fairly commonly accepted that the stock intake system is good for 500 whp, which means that before you need to do anything with the intake, you'd need bigger injectors and a bigger turbo.
