SCT X2 vs. X3
What's the diffence between the two? Looking at used tuners, I'd want it not to be VIN locked but does the amount of unlocks left matter? If it has tunes already I can use them as long as the stratagies are the same correct?

I wouldn't get either one. No one in either of those links say how many unlocks are left. You can never be sure with people these days.

The second one has five unlocks left. He's local so couldn't I plug it in and it would tell me if it was VIN locked?

the x2 is cheaper to get unlocked and is older so it should be less money. they will do practically the same thing. the x3 does have a few more options but given you will use the tuner typically to load a tune and go id get the cheaper one
