Which intake on 6.0?

Hey guys! Kinda new to this forum. I am looking to buy a performance intake to try to help my mileage out a lil. Which one(s) do you guys, have, prefer, like, suggest!?!?! Thanks for your help in advance! Also any other mileage tips, aside from common sense(following big rigs, etc.) would be greatly appreciated.

honestly the stock one flows more than enough air... i would save your money and invest that money you were going to spend on an intake and get some gauges...

but if you absolutely had to have one then S&B is my vote

yeh I have got the Edge Platinum Juice W/Attitude so guages are covered! It tells me more than enough info. I thought that it should flow enough, but you read some of these testimonies and they say that they gained like 2-3 mpg with intakes?! But the stock filter is HUGE!! Anyhow just wanted some input from other owners...b-day tomorrow and got a little extra change and looking for some more MPG while I can spend! LOL

ah k... well then my next suggestion is sell that edge juice and get yourself a custom tuned SCT... that juice is just plain horrible for your truck

I run an AFE stage 2. Maybe gained 1mpg. about the only thing you will gain with an intake is sound. If I could do it over again I would stay stock and do the zoodad mod.

Stock air intake (with stock filter), zoodad, open exhaust (4"), and as Raul said.... ditch the edge tuning (keep it for the gauges though) and get an SCT with some custom tunes.

I have the edge juice plat on mine and have not had a problem with it. I am thinking about switching to a SCT but only because I want to go with bigger injectors and will need proper tuning. For daily driving I think the edge is the most user friendly. I will say I stay in level 3 unless racing it or showing off.

Keep the stock filter and get SCT custom tunes from your favorite vendor or vendors. Your transmission will thank you!

I agree with Toren302, I put an S&B intake on mine gained maybe 2-3 mpg but mainly gained some intake noise which did make it sound a little meaner. I was also only running a 4" Turbo back MBRP exhaust at that time. Now I am running the Edge Platinum as well and saw about a 6-7 mpg gain when running on level 1. Thought I would let you know what I am getting, since our set ups are similar. Good luck
