Guys with MBRP exhaust please come in

when i purchased my truck it had the exhaust on it. with just a quick look underneath i thought it was a 5" cat back with no cat. upon further looking and comparing it looks as if my down pipe is a stainless two peice unit that is 3.5". the mid pipe is also a 3.5" stainless peice. after that it opens up into what appeears to be a 5" galvanized tube, muffler and tailpipe. im trying to figure out if this is a kit or peiced together or what. here are few pics
downpipe and clamp, assumeing this isnt stock?

midpipe after down pipe, also 3.5"

galvanized tube muffler and tailpipe, definatley bigger than a 4" peice i had laying around

does anyone elses exhaust look like this or know what exacly i have? thanks

Most kits are either completely 304 or 409 stainless or completely galvanized with the exception being the tip. i dont believe kits come with a combination of both. I have a 4 inch kit with a 1 piece down pipe followed by mid pipe and then cat delete. it then goes into the extension pipe to the muffler and then out to the tailpipe. You appear to have a kit but have never seen one of two different materials. I think the end product, sound and performance is the same, just one looks better. Hope this helps

what im thinking is there was a catback first and then the down and mid was added later? im just seeing if all of my stuff is the same size and layout as guys who know the have a full 4" turbo back. i know they come with a 3.5" dp but i thought it would open up to 4" or 5" sooner than it does

The front part looks just like my stosk exhaust did before I cut it off. I really think you have a cat back syatem that maybe someone added a cat delete pipe to later on.

Slowbra,

I think that could be what happened also. Cat back MBRP then went and added the DP and cat delete after the fact.

I have the MBRP Turbo Back off road kit and it opens up to 4" right after the DP.
