Head studs

Whats the deal with the head studs on the 6.0? are they warping and then blowing the head gasket? i have a 2005 with 37s and cold air and straight piped but no chip or tuner, should i be replacing these or letting them run? Ive only got 48k on it but not sure if i should wait or do it now. If so what would the average cost be?

For the studs and gaskets - $675 in parts on ebay

6.0 Powerstroke F250/350/450/550 FORD Diesel ARP Studs : eBay Motors (item 200433142110 end time Mar-28-10 16:49:20 PDT)

The head bolts are rated only for what the OEM engine is rated for. However you can get away with an intake, exhaust and a tuner if you run the tune on a mild setting. Otherwise, the bolts will stretch and blow the gasket. I have heard that it can cost $2500 if you have a shop do it. But that is all hear-say. Hope this helps.
