is the dealer always gonna know ive got a tuner?

i use an sct tuner. the last time i took the truck in for warranty work the tech called to question some issues & knew i had returned to stock , x amount of miles before. is there any way around this ? & how much do they know?

The only thing that comes up is a battery disconnect code (meaning it was just returned to stock.... or... you disconnected your batteries.) You can always return it to stock, then drive it around for a while, the code will clear on it's own.

I've never been denied work because of the tuner. I've also heard cycling the key 12 times erases it. I usually do that. Not sure if it actually works or not, but it couldn't hurt.

That's interesting, Mdub. Never heard about cycling the ignition before to clear the history. Will have to remember that one!

Probably shouldn't be upset if they do deny coverage if your tuned. It is pretty clear about tuning and warranty stand points....
