That's awesome

I'm eagerly waiting on a reply to a PM I sent him requesting a quote for one The wife might kill me if I spend money on the truck, though

Are you going to try to install your yourself or are you going to have a muffler shop do it?

It's such an easy job that I would hate to pay someone else to do it. A few wrenches, some penetrating fluid for the rubber hangers, a buddy to help and maybe a sawzall to get the old downpipe out and you will be done in no time at all.

Spray the rubbers with penetrant and they come off fairly easily. I use a pair of channel locks to force them into submission. Everything unbolts and drops out except the downpipe. You either have to cut it in half or remove the transmission crossmember to get it out. I wanted to save the factory exhaust, but wasn't prepared to tackle the tranny just to save the downpipe. Once you cut it in half it drops out pretty easy.

The hardest part is getting the new exhaust perfectly lined up. Watch the firewall insulation clearance with the downpipe. Most people I talk to end up moving the downpipe at least once because of vibration issues.

Just fish it up through there and it hooks up the same way the old one came out. Becareful with the v-band clamp though. You might have some issue with that, just spray it while it is still warm, after you loosen it, and it should pop. But there are three sections that have to come loose. But it is pretty easy.

I installed mine tonight. I'm still in the bathroom throwing up! It was so easy it made me sick! Darn quality made me feel like I bought a $1000 system!
