SCT livewire/ bullydog PMT

I'm new to programmers and thinking about getting one for a 05 6.0 f350. I mainly want it to monitor EGT's and other parameters while towing which is the main purpose of the truck. A little extra power after head studs wouldnt hurt too. But my main question was how good are the livewire/ pmt as a diagnostic tool? Can you get more info than just a standard autozone code reader? Thanks for any info

When I bought my LW I sent it back the next day. Couple of things, the construction of the LW looks like you bought it at the local Dollar store. The read out is not all that great and hard to read. Also, the LW is very big, larger than the biggest GPS. There is literally no place to put that thing.

Save yourself the trouble, buy a X3 and the Edge Insight.

If you are not wanting to program your truck and all you want is an EGT guage then I would buy a EGT analog gauge.

Get the insight. Or dash daq for gaues. The dash daq is more expensive but is a better diagnostic tool. Sct for programming. Or spartan phalanx which incorporates the dash daq. Reguardless do custom tuning it make a big difference even towing.

What a bummer. I just ordered the Insight and then changed my order to the Livewire since I'm having DP-Tuner do my tune and needed an SCT. I guess I should have bought Insight instead. Hopefully it will work okay though, or should I just send it back?
