Which programmer
I am sure that this has been debated 1000 times over, but I am new to the powerstroke family, and am trying to compile a list of first mods, and one is the programmer. Since there are so many I was curious on what you were running and what you recommend
I am looking for MPG and power. I dont want to make 1000HP by any means, but I would like to get some more power out of it while ideal getting 20-25 MPG freeway. 2003 6.0L with 130K Last edited by jwindbigler; 03-03-2010 at 05:55 PM.

Most people on here will tell you non that you listed. Your money is best spent on PHP or TW tunes, or custom tunes. I am in the same boat as you. I want more power, but also want MPG's. I am torn between the TW and PHP 6 position chips.
When I get the rest of the supporting mods done, I was going to get one of the two chips. Since my truck is a working truck, I was not looking for hte 120 or 140 HP settings. I am thinking stock, e80, 25t ,40t, 80t, High idle. But then again, it would be nice to kill a ricer in a 10k lbs truck  I had a buddy test a SCT 1705 high performance setting on my truck and I could feel a differnce!! But then I do not have a pyro or other guages to monitor it. It was fun for the 2 miles I drive it!!!!!!!!! good luck with chip / programer hunting

 what engine do you have? I forgot to ask...... like above, 6.0 SCT with custom tunes, 7.3 what I said.... PHP or TW, or any other good custom tunes.

For the 6.0 pretty much everyone is going to say custom tuned SCT. The real debate is what person to tune it.
