No Smog with 2010 CA Registration

So I live in CA and was hearing all this hub bub about smog starting on diesels on 2010. I received my registration for 2010 and there was nothing on there about smog check. I bought my truck in the end of Dec 08 so I'm a few months over a year on ownership. Not sure if they are going to wait till the second year.....just like regular vehicles get smog check every two years. I don't know..... I was just surprised.

Not going to happen here for some time. The state is broke..........
They were going to start motorcycle smog this year also, but cannot afford that either.

They are using even/odd first digit of the VIN numbers to divide the population of trucks in two, with half being required to be first smogged in 2010, and the other half in 2011. Be thankful you are in the 2011 group
