ARP Head Studs / EGR Delete -Maryland-

Are there any mechanics reading this that are from Maryland, or do any of you know a mechanic from Maryland that can help me out with an EGR Delete & Head Studs?

What is the easiest way to install head studs? I've read about it being done without removing the cab. I'll probably have to get it done that way. Has anyone installed half of the studs? It seems like that would be efficient. Could all but the hardest studs in the back be installed? Would that prevent the head from lifting?

I've read a few quick fixes for the EGR delete & they look functional 'or dysfunctional '.... Post links to what you've got on your truck, or what you think is the best setup. I'm sure there's more out there than what I've seen & I'd like to see as many options as possible.

Just did this (ARP Studs and EGR), with the Cab on and AC evaporator in.

This required leaving one lower rear bolt in the drivers side head during removal and installation; and three lower rear bolts in on the passenger side. It would have been really nice to remove the AC/blower.

Removed passenger fender well for some access.
Either use a hoist or a extra set of hands to remove and install heads.
Don't forget to drain the block of coolant via the side block plugs.

It is a fairly large project that for me required alot of patience and persistence.
I've only driven 20 miles, but so far so good.

Yeah, I was happy to have the dealer do that job. I usually do my own work but lifting the cab or pulling the engine was more than I wanted to get into right now. Anyway, mine is done and running great.
