Street Race Lite Review

Well, I emailed Matt at Gearhead Automotive yesterday at about 3:00 PM, and he sent me back the file at 7:00, and all I can say is WOW. This is the best tune I have ever ran. The throttle response is pretty good, and like i have read, you can drive around town within 1" of the pedal. I haven't really gotten into it yet, but as much as I have it has great power throughout the whole band. The shifting is spot on, nice smooth-firm-quick shifts, early as well so it will get a bit better mileage. It leaves a good puff of smoke at the beginning, but does clear up when you get going which happens pretty quick(not even WOT, or close). Also, Matt's customer service is awesome, all of the questions I had for him he answered within ten minutes, he is great. All in all, this might have been my best purchase so far, and I hope everyone can enjoy this great tune.

My Opinion

I have both Matt's and Eric's and seem to like Eric's better. Yes the shifting was great on Matt's but almost too soft for me(Eric's aren't rough either). The thing I noticed on Eric's that i like was the power from the mid to upper RPM range. My truck also sounded different under load and WOT with both tunes. Eric's tune makes my truck sooo mean under heavy or WOT!!!!

Which one of Eric's tunes are you comparing this too?

I think Matt is doing a very fine job. Keep it up Matt.

Matts SRL is a GREAT DD tune.

Does anyone have any problems downshifting out of 5th on the freeway between 50-65mph on this tune?

It really isn't a problem. Matt has the TQ locked up to improve gas mileage. But you can email him and he can fix that for you.
