What are the pros to doing this

i hear it helps motor run a lot smoother and when chipped it decreases the risk of screwing up bearings and camshaft...just wanna know if its worth money and effort or should i spend money elsewhere...

Love mine, although if you are going for high horsepower, there have been some reports of it causing LPOP gear breakage.

I just looked at prices on one of these, $450 for a 6.0L, yikes!
Plus if you read the information on them, they state that the stock dampers are specifically designed for the motors natural frequency. If you change that frequency (by different pistons, etc) then you need to change the damper. So basically, to me if you are running a stock motor, the stock damper is doing its job and a fluid damper is not needed. But if you have motor work done, maybe even a chip, then you should consider one of these. |
