SCT x3 for different strategy?

If the X3 is for a different strategy than my vehicle, will I get a message, or will it load up, just not run smoothly?

It won't program your truck cause of the different strategy.

Does it say like program failed? is there any way to tell the strategy that the tune is for?

it will probably load. Some strategies are cross compatible, if it doesn't start after the tune is loaded, LOL, its not compatible, return the truck to stock.

I think the software from SCT can tell you the information that you need? Could be wrong, so don't quote me on that
