I would add a fuel psi. gauge to the list.

Looks like a good list to me, but I would also add the fuel pressure gauge as well.

I dont think the oil pressure gauge will work for you. I though autometer didnt make a HPO gauge

If you do the oil pressure you will have an engine oil pressure guage, not a HPOP pressure guage. I would leave off the volts, unless youre really worried about the charging system. Deiselsite sells a HPOP pressure guage. I would look intot hat one. its a different brand, but I think it would mesh in with the sport comps ok.

ok what different betwen hpop gauge and oil pressure gague ?
think i want to have voltage, i have compete in caraudi before and maybe going to do that again, then its good to have.. but maybe fuel pressure is better to have,, thanks for input. |

HPOP pressure is high pressure oil feeding your injectors to make them fire. roughly between 500-2800 psi.
your engine oil pressure is about 40 with crusing, 20 at idle. its what feed the oil to the engine, and to the HPOP resivior. and the HPOP guage can be found at ITP diesel, I was mistaken when i told you earlier. |

actually they do now.. but not in all the gauges.. they make them in like the z series, ultra lites ect..

I have The Sport-Comp Ultra-Lites and tbh i would go with the Ultra-Lite II's. the sport comp ultralites are lite from a ring around the side and don't look bad, per se, but the back-lit ones look way better. Only thing is, the ultralite II's wont match the factory gauges. after having the sportcomp's for 8-10 months, I'm gonna sell em and get the ultra-lite II's. They aren't much more from where I get them.
EDIT: Scratch that, I have the Pro-Comp Ultra-Lite's, silver bezel silver face, green illumination via ring around the edge at night. Totally different gauge. If the gauges you are looking at have the ring on the edge for illumination, I wouldn't get them. Backlit only for me from now on... Last edited by Rohan; 02-16-2010 at 01:50 PM. |

get a fuel pressure gauge not a boost. There is one on the dash that is good already, and its not like the trans and eng temp gauges, this one actually works
