Is it true that the stock box on a 2007 6.0 will flow just as good as a aftermarket with a afe high flow factory replacment filter

Key words of his: (for the most part)... My truck came with an Airaid intake. I don't think I would have bought one if it came with the stock setup. It's ran about 80k miles on original turbo with this intake. It doesn't see alot of thick dust or harsh contions but I'm never afraid to take the truck anywhere that I want to go thinking about the air filter instead of the stock one. I'll follow vehicles down dusty roads and not worry.

I don't know why everyone talks so much trash about aftermarket intakes. I don't think they filter down to the micron as well as stock but I can tell you my turbo is in great shape with hardly any abrasion on the leading edge of the compressor blades. It looks just like any other turbo with 80k miles. I like the louder turbo whistle out of the front of the truck with it. I've had my wife driving my truck behind me before and it's really loud. Now I just need an 03 turbo and it'll sound even better.

i really dont have a certain one that i recommend... i got a great deal on the air raid.. hence i have it.... i always hear great things about afe and s&b as well... i love my air raid simply cause i can hear the truck alot more.. ie turbo spool etc. I think about anyone who knows these trucks much more then me will tell ya that a stock intake is good to about 500 rwhp....im no expert just by what ive read over time thats what the experts do say.

I love my Airaid. It may not make any more power with it than it does with the stock filter but it looks and sounds much better. With the zoodad mod my truck sounds like it could suck you through the grill lol.

Stay with the stock filter system unless you plan to go over 500hp. There is no needed to upgrade unless you want to carelessly spend your money. Spend that 500 bucks somewhere else.
