old stratagy

My truck is an 03 with stratagy VXAP2N2 I have custome tunes from Matt and dont have any issues with my truck or on start up. In fact it cranks right up unplugged even in single digits. Is there any reason to update to latest flash?

If its a few years old, you have the original inductive heating, which was hard on the FICM. I think they kept the VXAP2 designation for all the newer flashes, but the HEX code changed. Mine is VXAP1 and it is from '05, pre-inductive heating and pre-buzz.

The last time i know for sure that it was flashed was end of 07. However it did go in for a icp and wire harness under warrenty in late 08 but i dont know if they reflashed it while they had it or not. I have not had any issues with the ficm. I have heard of some of the flashes bieng hard on the ficm but wouldnt i have problems over the last year and a half or so if it was hard on the ficm?

They don't always cause FICM failure, but they do stress them more. You probably have the original inductive heating flash, it came out early '07. There was nothing newer until mid-'09.
