has anyone tried the hypertech power module for the 6.0? three levels of tuning adjustable on the fly and even at the highest setting[100hp.] they say its safe for towing. everyone is selling it for around five hundred dollars. jegs has it for three hundred fifty. i had good results with there programmer for my 5.7 chevy. thanks for any feedback

I think you might have the programmer and the Hyperpac confused. The Hyperpac is ajustable on the fly but is closer to 700 and the programmer is not ajustable on the fly and can be had for 399 or so. I have the programmer in my 7.3 and I love it.

thanks i appreciate it. when and if my gaskets blow i'm gonna do the studs. hoping i can just hand them to the dealer and have them put them in under warranty. i'll just make sure to take everything out and clear all the codes.

Only problem with that is when they take the heads off the tech will see a pretty flower or star pattern on the top of the pistons and know that you had it chipped (right Marc). And they are not gonna put the studs in under warranty, but you might be able to work something out once they say warranty denied.

Talking

well i just got back from testing out that hypertech power module. i can't judge it against anything but stock. in the lowest setting it wakes it up a little bit. second setting its pretty quick. third and highest setting its impressive. mileage was improving. barely touch the throttle and you are moving. fast. @20 mph i stood on it and it broke loose pretty good. ford limited slips suck. it definately feels like an extra 100 horse power. as i said i can't compare how it runs to anything but stock.
