Muffler or No Muffler?

Hey guys, I am planning on buying a full 4" turbo back exhaust from Diamond Eye, but I can't decide... muffler or no muffler?

I really want it to be loud at WOT, but I really could go without the hair dryer sound at idle... Any suggestions?

On my truck I went with no muffler, but mines an 05 that doesnt have the whistle-o-death charger like yours, and it sounds good at any RPM. Guy at work here has an early build 04 with a 4 inch kit and a muffler and its pretty loud at WOT without the "hair dryer sound at idle".

Go without cuase you'll end up taking it out if you get one.

I just had mine cut out from the stock pipe the other day along with some gutting of the kitty. I enjoy driving the truck again. It does not sound much different unless you get on it then you get the nice growl!!!!! I say go without the muffler

Yeah thats what i did, i had the new system on for about 6 months then got a pipe put in... mines on a OBS so it'll sound alot different than the 6.0 but i love it straightpipped.

I have the MBRP 4 inch turbo back with kitty delete, muffler on. I love the sound of it, the muffler is a free flow and still is very loud at wot.

I had an MBRP 4" TB kit WITH muffler.

I think

(1) you will like how it sounds at idle, slow speed driving and cruising speed
(2) you will LOVE how it sounds at WOT (or anywhere close to it)
(3) you WILL get curious and at some point remove the muffler
(4) you will love how it sounds at idle, slowspeed driving and cruising speed
(5) you will REALLY LOVE how it sounds at WOT
(6) you will not put the muffler back on

I say skip 1-5 I followed the steps above, and then started hacking at the "nice new(ish) exhaust system" until in its current state..... downpipe, cat delete pipe, 45* turn out infront of tire. I'd make it shorter if it would look OK.

What he said I have the same setup and it's reasonable at idle/cruising on an 05 and rumbles at wot!
