It all depends on what you want to do with the truck. My two favorite tuners are Eric @ Innovative and Matt @ Gearhead. Both have a variety of tunes to choose from. I'd skip the economy tune. Get your self a good tow tune, and a hot tune for a daily driver. I'm currently running Matt's Street Race Lite and love it.

If you don't have your gauges yet, i'd get those before your tunes. And yes, custom tunes will knock your socks off compared to your canned tunes. In fact when you get your custom tunes you'll probably file your canned tunes in the garbage can...no pun intended

I personally would go with Matt and here's the reason. His tunes are just as good if not better. If you have a problem with your tune or add a mod he'll fix it for free. Last but not least he's cheaper. I run both of Eric's xtreme tunes and since buying I've changed my gears and tire size. When I called to have my tunes updated Ted told me he would have to charge me another $80 each tune. His justification was it's like doing another tune? I was a little upset about this. Granted you can adjust this via the SCT, but it's still nice to just hit intall program and call it a day.

Plus one on Matt's tunes. Personally, I ran IDP and the tune ran like crap. It could have been just my truck and that it didn't like the tune. But I am now running Matt's SRL and what a sweet smooth running tune.

Both Matt and Eric are great.
I'm seeing better MPG,s with Matt,s SRL and it is also my favorite tune. The power is smooth and even and right there when you need it.

Thanks,

So... since i have been on this forum i have heard of now 3 main tune writers (Eric, Cale, Matt) that are supposed to all be quite good. Does anyone have anything to say about how each compares to the other. Also what tune does everyone like from each for daily driving?

Thanks
