Need Some help please.

Ive read on here and i am new to the perfromaces that guys are doing. I saw that guys are blocking the egr. why? and i also saw a oil cooler delete. please fill me in on what i need to do to my 04 6.0. I want to get a intake. im looking at the sct livewire. i also want exhaust but not sure wat sounds the best. Fill me in please. Thanks

6.0 people block off or delete the EGR cooler, because its one of the leading causes to blowing headgaskets (along with crappy TTY headbolts) so with the EGR deleted, you lower the chances of blowing the headgasktes on your truck. The SCT tuner is the best on the market, hands down. You should look into a 4" turbo back exhaust system and your stock air filter is sufficient. When looking at the SCT, I would suggest the X3 and add the Edge Insight all in one digital unit, it offers the best bang for the buck and has a nice fit and finish, as seen here is a customers truck:

i have a superchips tuner and i like it a lot. i would also recommend the 4" bully dog exhaust system, sounds bad ***

any 4" exhaust will sound the same if straight piped... I had a superchips Flashpaq and it was "ok" at best compared to the sct with innovative or Gearhead tunes.... EGR delete is the first mod to be done on any 6.0.. before exhaust or tuner and even gauges imo
