Ive seen on here not to use K&N air intake. Why not

they don't filter well enough for these diesel engines that are very very air dependent. They have been known to "dust" engines, therefor people tend to stay away from them!

Can't speak for the K&N but I'm running an S&B CAI with 0 issues.

I would recommend that.

S & B is a great way. or the DIY intake which most guys run... it costs you abotu $70 total.

Go to NAPA and get a #6637 filter and then some pipe to connect it to your intake hose. Its really simple and works as well or better than more intake systems out there

my 07 s 1/4 mile time was over a second slower with a kn,airaid,& sb...compared to the stock airbox.

not TOO familiar with the K&N intakes, but I just learned that he K&N oil filters are SH&$!!!! I had the oil filter in mine and when my truck rolled it completely CLOGGED and wouldn't allow the truck to even run correctly.....looks like it's motorcraft for me from now on.

yeah I ran nothing but them and valvoline max blue 15w40. I've never heard of anything like that, kind of scared me as to what it did to the truck....as long as it didn't mess anything up.
