EGR Valve Turned off or unlugged - Less
Anyone else noticed a reduction in low end power or throttle response with thier EGR valve turned off or unplugged?
I really notice that the pedal is not as stiff and the power doesn't come on as strong with it turned off via a tuner or just unplugged. I did have my PCM reflashed a few months ago to VXCF7D3 and it seems like the newer strategies are more dependant of the EGR functioning. Anyone else notice this? |

You need to mod the up-pipe leading to the EGR cooler. The exhaust flow is just going in with nowhere to go as you are running it. This can cause the EGR cooler to rupture if overheated too many times. Your up-pipe may have a small scoop as well to help direct the exhaust flow robbing the turbo of much need exhaust flow for spooling.
