Best economy programmer?

I got a friend with an 07' 6.0 looking for a good or the best economy programmer. Like in the $300-$400 range. Any info for me to give him?
He was looking at the Hypertech Max Energy and Superchips to give you an idea..

i would never put any of those off the shelf tuners on my own truck.... the only thing i would ever put on a 6.0L is a custom tuned SCT X3... its just lil over what you want to spend but its also the best and safest thing out for your truck... like this: SCT X3 Custom Innovative Diesel Tunning

that being said i would never run any programmer without a set of gauges... boost, pryo, and trans temp

Got to agree.

SCT w/ custom tuning will get the best out of the 6.0. If it's the most HP, best economy, best trans tuning or a good compromise of all........a good (or a couple good) custom tunes for the SCT will get it

SCT hands down. Wouldnt run anything else on a 6.0. I tuned m buddies truck for him with it and it is incredible.
