Turbo Blown......now what?

Hi Guys, I have an 03 350 with 55000 miles. I was pulling a grade in Tennessee towing about 13000 lb. when the turbo let go. Truck is stock except for edge juice w attitude. It was on the tow/haul tune. I have only used the tow/haul and mileage tunes. (Other than a quick trial on the others.......Had to try it. Anyhow had the tuner for a year or so with no problems till now. I work the truck, probably 50 percent of the time I am pulling a gooseneck. I would like to have a little extra towing power while keeping decent reliability. Ya I know the best of both worlds. Anyhow I obviously need a turbo, should i go back to a stock one? Or should I go with a non vgt and go to a custom tune? I think the edge is going bye bye after reading the posts here, seems sct is the way to go on that. I will definantly delete the egr cooler in the process. Any suggestions or advice? Sorry for the long post and thanks in advance!

if you want reliability, I would probably recommend a non-vgt replacement and a SCT tuner.

if you want the ultimate truck... here is the list....

1. studs
2. EGR delete
3. gauges (boost, pyro, trans temp)
4. custom tuned SCT
5. 62/70 non VGT turbo
6. 155-175 CC injectors
7. fuel system
