AFE MagnumII?

Ok, I'm new to the site but had an important question and also wanted to say hi as the new guy. Anyway, I have an 06 F-250 xlt PSD and am somewhat obsessed with gaining HP and doing a few modifications. I have ordered the new AFE Magnum stage II w/ProGuard 7 filter which should be here tomorrow. I was told by some guys who know that this was the very best aftermarket intake available. However, after reading the forums on AFE's own site there were a few guys who had nothing but problems. I'm just wondering if any of you have gone this rout and if so what your experience with the product was.

Thank you for any input
Scott

We have had a huge demand for the AEM Brute Force intake system. It has a synthetic filter that does not need oiling. You just wash it in a bucket of water and dry it out. They are cheaper and come with a polished intake tube. 99.4% filtration. I use a AiRaid and will probably sell it and get the AEM.

We do sell them both and they are both good products, but we have seen a trend towards the AEM. I dont see how you would have a problem with the AFE. I havent heard any problems from them. The chevy Duramax guys have to be careful, some systems together with straight pipes causes them a Check engine light. Im sure the AFE will be just fine. I think everyone just likes the AEM cause you dont have to re oil them.

Oh yeah WELCOME!

will the AEM filters fit on an AFE stage 2 intake? If not i'm sure it won't be long before every manufacture comes out with there version.

AFE StageII arrived tonight!

I'm looking forward to the install and will post my thoughts tomorrow after I get it in. I have been in contact with AFE directly as I'm aware of some people having problems with this product. They returned my e-mail promptly and assured me that it is a very small percentage and that if I had any problems they would take care of it. So, we' shall see how it goes tomorrow.

Afe

On AFE's own forum there are a few guys who got check engine lights and one guy who's filter minder keeps going off. and on this forum there were also a few guys with check engine lights coming on after their installs. I did contact the people at AFE and they aknowleged something like 98 cases out of 4500 sold. It would be my luck to be #99
