07 f250 6.0 king ranch 4x4 4dr long bed...The only thing that's done is ARP head studs egr delete it's bullet proofed, 8 inch lift on 37's, MBRP catback and 65k miles, bought it used in the previous owner has a tune and I don't really know what's on it because the companies out of business and I was checking out innovative because of good recommendations and I'm not really sure what's a safe tune and the amount of horsepower and torque my engine and trans can handle…I do minimal towing right now, 95% DD and here are the tunes they offer in a bundle of three I'm not really sure what is my best bet any thoughts?
I'd probably want to get it flashed back to stock so I'd have a baseline to work from since you have no idea what's on it now. That way you can always go back to stock for troubleshooting or when you get ready to sell it. You can take it to Ford and have it reflashed, not sure of the cost, or you can talk to the guys at PHP. I think they can roll back the PCM for around $150, but you'll either need to send it to them or drive the truck there. They're also a very good source for tunes. Power Hungry Performance
The SCT I have had the stock parameters I've flashed it to stock before just to see and wow so little of power haha, I know I want a tune again from a reputable company just not sure of the numbers I can safely run given the specs I did up above
So you got the tuner with the truck and was able to flash it back to stock? That little tidbit could have saved me some typing. LOL
What SCT tuner do you have?
Truck Source Diesel, PHP, Gearhead are all very good options. There are others, but those are the ones I know.
Do you have a monitor?
Oh yeah it definitely flashes back to stock I don't want to back to stock at all I tried it and I immediately put the tune back on it ha ha… It's a SCT Xcal2
I don't believe so, I just know the support for that device has long been gone, heck I've got an X3 and support for those is soon to be not there if it isn't already gone
You can pretty much run any performance or race tune since you don't have large injectors or a bigger turbo. Even if you did, you probably won't drive it at max power for extended periods of time.
