Question about EGR delete

I am looking to get a F250 soon with the 6.0 motor in it and I know that there are a few things that need to be done to it once I get the truck. I am looking at several different EGR delete kits and I have a question. We have emissions testing here in Tennessee but they only hook up to the OBD II Port and the gas cap. Would it still be possible to do the EGR delete kit with the testing they do? Also I believe that it would require me to run a Tuner to get the CEL off correct? Would their testing be able to see the chip and make it fail? I appreciate any help.

You would need custom tunes to turn off the EGR if they plug into the OBDII port. Also you would need a "stock" tune for testing so it doesn't smoke at all.

Would Eric at ID be able to do that tune for me or would I have to look for somebody else?
