mbrp exhaust question

is the downpipe for the 4 inch turbo back the same for the 5 inch turbo back?

and when does the pipe actually change to a 5 inch pipe?

My downpipe was 3-1/2". Being that I only see one downpipe for 6.0's on their website I am gonna assume that thats the only size they have.

It changes from 3-1/2" to 4" behind the cat / cat delete pipe. I would assume that it would be the same on the 5" as well.

MBRP only offers a 3.5" downpipe, then it flares up to the size of the exhaust 4" or 5"

My MBRP is 3.5 down pipe. A friend of mine with an 07 has a 4" down pipe I think.

4" Downpipes are available, just not from MBRP. And honestly, 4" isn't needed.

pretty sure you are incorrect..as I said MBRP doesnt offer a 4" downpipe

here is a installation manual for a 5" turbo back system

http://mbrp.com/products/instructions/S6224.pdf

#1 is the 3.5" down pipe then see #8 is a 3.5 is saddle clamp and then in the top part of the mid pipe it goes from 3.5" to 4" then #3 goes from a 4" to a 5" using an adapter.

If you are looking for a 4'' downpipe system, Hog Performance makes a cheap SS and aluminized kit. I was going to order one but they were back ordered months ago so I went with a MBRP. Really nice guys at hogsperformace too.
