Your not completly wrong, Jim is starting to offer nozzle upgrades for 6.0L's, although they are still being tested. I've got a friend that put a set on his injectors and along with a little tweaking , we were able to get 180cc of fuel out of his injectors.

Eric at Innovative Diesel. Just call him and he can talk you through the whole thing. As far as his tunes vs. other peoples? I think his and Cale's are about the same, but I think Eric is a little better with the transmission part of it. They both are really helpful and would help you out even if you didn't buy a tune from them.

Getting a 7.3 will do nothing but empty your pockets. They take a lot of money to get the same power as a 6.0 with just a tuner. To dispell myths though. The spartan free tunes are generic tunes and they work well on some trucks and not so well on others. For me it hauls donkey. Spartan tunes make great power. But as with any custom tunes some need some tweaking to get them perfect and spartan is no longer able to tweak their sct files so they are either good or bad as is.

really?? would you like to wager on that? back in the day before I started putting $$$$ in my truck it was completly stock, and my cousin had a '05 Fx4 250 cc stock......it didnt hold a candle, he'd leave ANY 7.3 out of the hole but the hole shot was all it had (just saying, Iam not trying to start a pissing contest here theres no point unless your in GA and wanna race 1 day) Iam just sayin dont under estimate the 7.3L and a good driver

a tuned 7.3 vs a tuned 6.0...... id take that race any day even stock gears and 35" tires. there is just no way a 7.3 with a tuner alone would stand a chance unless you put it in a ranger. ive run to many with alot of different tuners and it is not even close. i have raced a few 7.3 trucks that were pre superduty when i was stock and it was two to three truck legnths but id start leaving them till about 96mph when the gov shut it down.

So you admit that a 7.3 vs 6.0 with a tuner as the only mod would be hands down 6.0... Since you clearly stated you have more than a tuner. I never stated that the 7.3 is a bad motor. Simply that it dosent offer the same amout of performace as the 6.0 for the dollar spent. Sure maybe at some point they would break even. What is the most hp that you can get out of a stock 7.3 what kind of hp will the stock fuel system, turbo and injectors support? How much hp will a stock 4r100 tranny handle before you start to worry about reliability?
