Questions about Nitrous

Well I just had my EGR deleted and I am thinking about running a NXd stacker kit. Now what I am wondering is:

1: Is this going to be safe for my truck if I use is wisely?

2: Is it really necessary to upgrade my fuel system when using such a small shot?

3: Is it necessary to get a diffrent tune when running the nitrous? I am currently running Erics Xtream Street.

4: The kit that was given to me came with a stock CFM that had the NX selinoid already mounted to it, but it also has 2 water/meth injectors in it that are not being used. Do you guys think that I can be losing boost from these injestors not being hooked up to anything?

Thanks in advance for all the input. I know you guys wont let me down.

safe is all relative. the transmission will take a petty good beating if you use it regularly. if you run too much nitrous then you will stall your truck. not really dangeroous but I wouldnt run it unless you have studs and an egr delete

2: Is it really necessary to upgrade my fuel system when using such a small shot?

not nessisary but you will get alot more out of the nitrous with more fuel available. there is no air fuel ratio on diesels that we really need wo worry about but the more fuel there is the more the nitrous can react with the fuel and you will get a lot more power out of it. what size jet will you be using?

3: Is it necessary to get a diffrent tune when running the nitrous? I am currently running Erics Xtream Street.

get eric to write you a race tune for nitrous. he will give you more fuel and I believe he rune less timing on the nitrous tunes. I could be wrong on that though but you will definatly need a new tune

doubt you are loosing boost but you should go get plugs for the tapped fittings on the cfm. it will look alot cleaner. i believe they are 1/8 npt but check and see. you should be seeing 30 or so pounds of boost out of the stock turbo. ive seen 35 out of my turbo.

Ok well I am studded and deleted so nothing to worry about there.

Also do you think the tune that eric would write me will it be streetable??

And I belive that its only a 50 shot. And yes I do plan on upgrading the fuel system in time but funds are short right now. So you think I will be ok running this on my stock fuel system?

Also is it ok to leave the bottle open all time or do I need to close it at night??
