Fuel System
So what would be the best upgrade for my fuel system. I have been looking at getting air dog and was wondering does that take out your factory fuel pump and filter on the frame or does it stay to. Also what fuel pressure tester do I need to get to test my fuel pressure on my truck.

The original airdog doesn't replace your stock fuel pump, but an airdog 2 will. I would get an autometer electric fuel pressure gauge and a billet fuel filter cap to install it on. I got both from Adam at First Coast Diesl Performance. As long as your pressure doesn't get too low, you don't need a new pump. I can't make my pressure drop below 50 psi even with Eric's Xtreme Street tune.

My fuel system consists of an A1000 pump and then new lines feeding the back of the heads and returning out the front. I love my set-up and haven't had a single issue with it this way.

Yes the Airdog II has the pump built in but you have to leave the stock HFCM for the return. I have the 130/75 and love it.

Forgot about my Areomotive regulator on sitting on top of my engine, along with the rest of my system. It's funny how you can foget about things that are on your own truck.

when you get something like the airdog 2 or even a airdog/raptor setup. it eliminates the factory pump on the rail and you can delete the bowl up top too.
by using a fuel Y block and feed the front of the heads. you can make a cross over line in the rear but i didnt. and thats it. no regulator return kit and no return line back to the tank |
