4th Gauge, fuel or oil pressure?
New to powerstrokes, I just bought a 2005. Looking for a opinions on what gauge to run as a 4th guage. I am wanting to run a quad pod with Pyro, Boost (0-40 lb I would guess), tranny temp, and either oil or fuel pressure.

Really leaning towards oil pressure, although I have no idea how I would hook it up on the 6.0L

Fuel pressure is def. more important on the 6.0L -- without proper fuel pressure, you'll loose injectors pretty quickly.

If your gonna get a boost gauge dont waste your money on 0-40, look for 0-60 at least. Fuel Pressure is nice to go with, but I would only get it if you have a fuel system or aftermarket injectors, regulated return system to tap into. If you go oil pressure you can either tap into the ICP sensor, or get a billet oil cap from Diesel site and it has a port for it thats what I have currently, yes fuel pressure is important but so is oil pressure if you dont have oil pressure your truck won run. This is what I have.

Thanks for the reply's guy. It is hard switching from a Cummins to a Powerstroke. I knew alot about the 5.9 cummins, and nothing about the 6.0L Powerstroke, however so far I really like the truck.
I think I am now leaning towards fuel pres. as injectors are on the list. I was wondering about where to tap into the system. Does anyone know anything about the fuel filter cap that Dieselmanor sells? |

I vote fuel pressure. Fuel pressure is CRITICAL for 6.0s.............

for an oil pressure gauge what would you recommend 0-100 or 0-200?
