what would you do?

What mods would you do if you only cared about increasing longevity and fuel economy?

Also is there a way to diagnose a bad ball joint?

Straight pipe it and delete the EGR as well as studs. As far as fuel economy custom tuned SCT and a light foot. I don't know the answer to the ball joint question.

to check ball joint lift your tire off the ground and stick a pry bar under it and try to wiggle it. You actually need 2 people usually. WHile one person wiggles the other looks to see if any of them are moving. Are you having problems?

Not sure if I have a problem. I just picked up the truck used and it may just be how they ride. Going down the road everything feels fine but when I am going down a rock road it seems I can feel and hear a pop when hitting bumps.
