My truck just started doing the same thing a few days back. It was all fine and then one day it just started doing this. Put the truck back on x-street and its fine

For mine thou it shifted into od normally for about a week and then just one day it didnt. i drove it for a few more days and still didnt shift into OD until i let off then got back on it so i changed tunes. But i did notice when i got up to speed quickly it shifted smooth and into OD like normal. Would really like to know if this is normal too.

Send a message via AIM to Abrannan19
It should go into od at a certain rpm...may need to adjust the revs per mile..that may help..

Well on mine it goes into OD just the same in X-race or X-street. It may hold a gear a little longer in X-race before it shifts into OD but it does shift to OD. So I am going to say that is not normal you may want to be asking eric about that.

check the tire revs per mile, there are several recent threads about it including my own.

But I have noticed that driving at the speed limit here (40) makes my rpms stay pretty high, if I push it to about 43mph then it will shift into the next gear and I can slow back down to 40 and cruise at a reasonable rpm. If that is what it is doing then I guess its normal?

I would try the rev adjustment and see what happens. Then if no change talk to eric.
