Programmer and Exhaust ?? WHAT TO DO

Have a '06 F250 King Ranch 6.0 FX4. Need some help on deciding on a programmer and exhaust. DR, TW, SCT? I have only heard not so good things about Edge, Bully Dog and Superchips, not sure what all is true and what is not true. If they are good would like to hear some good comments. Also, exhaust 4" vs. 5"? Muffler vs. Muffler Delete? Cat vs. Cat delete? I definitely want a Turbo back kit. Any preference on brand? Only familiar with MPRP. Heard only good things about them. Any help, comments or suggestions would be very much appreciated. Not looking to race the truck, just want to improve MPG, performance and HP.

I have an 05. I got an MBRP turbo back cat and muff delete and it sounds amazing. Also, going with an SCT programmer. Safest bet and I have experience with it in other cars. Def go cat and muff delete if you want that nice turbo whistle

Go with a custom SCT tune, with the tuner of your choice.

For exhaust, go straight pipe and after installed a used exhaust last weekend, if you can afford it go for a brand new one! I've heard good things about the MBRP systems for our trucks... Such a PITA to put on used stuff...

SCT for the tuner with custom tunes and MBRP or Silverline Exhaust system, both are about the same quality, no sound difference between the two. If you would like some prices, I would be more then happy to get you some.

MBRP 4" SS turbo back on mine w/gutted cat. Sounds awesome!! Mellow at idle but loud when I get on it, especially towing. Hypertech Max Energy programmer of which the jury still out on. Plenty of power but not enough options IMO.

SCT with tunes from innovative. 4" turbo back exh is all you need unless you are going for 500+ RWHP. Stock intake is also good to 500 HP.

Thanks for all the great advice. So I think that I am going to go with the SCT since it is the safest. Do you know of anyone that has the safest custom codes. I just want a little git-up not a massive load; just yet. I will upgrade later. Didn't know who has the best custom tunes for street and economy? Have you heard anything about the cats that Magnaflow have out? Are they better than stock and can you put an MBRP exhaust with them?

Innovative, Elite, and BTS (Cales) have the best reputations for tuning the 6.0 around here. I personally have Erics tunes from Innovative, and they are spot on, good mileage, great shifting (much firmer and quicker than stock), and generally all around good drivability. Search around on the org here and search for "SCT tuning" and you'll find enough info to hurt your head for a day or so.

As for Magnaflow, I have their complete system, (sans Cat) and it works great. Personally unless your state requires emission testing on diesels, i would remove the cat.
