So about a month ago i bought a dialblo sport predator tuner for my 03 6.0, a friend of mine has the same tuner and truck but an 04. He rolls coal like its goin outta style in his 60 horse setting! and i cant get nothin near to him. I love the fact of smokin out rice burnes and chumps but i dont understand why its not. Did i get a lemon for a tuner or what? Or is theresomthin else wrong?

Each truck will respond differently, especially to a 'canned' tune,

If you want, get an SCT and custom tunes and you can REALLY roll coal. However, remember to please be responsible in your 'smoking' there is a time and place for that kinda fun!

Also the 03' and late 04' have many diffrent parts under the hood and will have diffrent results with any tunner.

Most will tell you that SCT with custome tunes is the only way to go. I am VERY pleased with what I got. I've had a chane to ride in a late 04 with a Banks Six Gun witch can't compare to SCT. I've also ridden trucks with DJ's tunes. Those are a close tie to Innovative tunes, too bad they are nolonger takeing new customers.

Its not jus the smoke that im worried about, my truck also seems doggish campared to his, like i can tell that its not runnin at its full potential. Ive been runngin in the 60 horse setting and surprisingly its a heck of alot faster then the 100. I bought the predator becasue of the option of downloading custom tunes via internet but i havent been able to find a dealer or availible tunes. I think maybe now i shouldve went with SCT like most told me but i guess you learn from your mistakes thanks for the help fellas.

If you think your have'in issues get a REAL code scanner, pull codes and go from there. Even if you don't code your EGR Valve might be getting clogged and not bad enough to throw codes. Pull it and give it a cleaning. Here is a good write up. The gasket/O-ring set in $7 at Ford.

I agree with powered. Before I had my SCT, I read many things here about the EGR becoming clogged and I pulled mine ($7 for the gaskets as said) It was NASTY! I cleaned it up real good, looked down into the intake and scraped as much of the buildup loose as I could get to (a solid 1/8 inch!!!) and vacuumed it out and the truck seemed to run a LOT better. seemed to spool up a lil quicker and just generally run smoother. This won;t change as drastically as a tune but it was definitely a noticeable difference!

well the main thing that is wrong is that youre running a predator on your truck.. those things looooove to eat trannys. try getting custom tunes if you do your truck will love you

I had a predator and the only way I could get my 06 to smoke on the 60hp was to role down the windows....lol

I took the egr valve off and put in a BLE Egr plug
