Reset top speed

I have an 04 PSD with the 6.0 and a banks 6 gun. It shuts off the turbo at 98mph and I cannot get any more speed out of it. Any one know how to get the top speed reset with out purchasing a tuner. I was considering purchasing the banks speed loader but no info from banks on the website regarding top speed. I was just hoping on an easy fix.

think its something you have to pay for. trucks computer defuels the motor at 98mph as a precaution.

if you had a SCT it will remove the top speed limiter, plus it would be way better for your truck and trans.

At 98 mph it "shuts off the turbo" ..... interesting

With the speed loader it will still stop at 98.. When i had the 6 gun on my truck i got a top speed eliminator. I think i got it from Summit.

whered you read that lol?
it just defuels the motor. how could you shut off the turbo besides just opening the waste gate

I guess I was wrong but I can't see the computer de-fueling however I can watch my turbo gauge go to zero around 98, sorry for the confusion. As far as the SCT I have never used that type of tuner and I have really enjoyed the ability the 6 gun gives me to turn up and turn down the power "on the fly". Last time I checked this is a free country and justifying my truck modifications to you are really outside of my comfort zone and unless you are my local traffic enforcement/ inspection agency/ warranty company why do you give a crap? Shouldn't you put more effort into worrying about why the government is out of control and our president finds the need to give his opinion on some cop making an arrest and less time worrying about some guy who might be competing on the race track and wants to find out what his truck is capable of??? Sorry for the rant, if you meant something else by the word JUSTIFY sorry but it just struck a nerve..... BTW THANKS a bunch for the useful information the rest of you offered. I will definitely check out the "top speed eliminator"
